We are excited to officially announce the launch of the Virgin Mary & St. John Church App for Virgin Mary & St. John Coptic Orthodox Church in Bayonne, New Jersey.
After years of planning, design, and development, our church now has a dedicated mobile app built to help our community stay connected, informed, and spiritually engaged throughout the week, whether you are at home, at work, or attending services in person.
This is the official mobile home for our church, one place for services, events, hymns, giving, and spiritual life.
We encourage everyone to download the app, explore its features, and share it with friends and family in the community.
What You Can Do with the App
The VM Church App is designed to support both daily spiritual life and practical church engagement. Here is what you can do at launch:
- Live streaming — Watch services via YouTube from Home
- Events & announcements — Upcoming liturgies, meetings, church events
- Church schedule — Liturgy, Sunday School, hymns, college meetings, other gatherings
- Hymns & lyrics library — Hymns, spiritual songs, readings
- Daily verse — Daily scripture with private encrypted reflections
- Giving — PayPal and Zelle; future church projects with photos
- Prayer requests — End-to-end encrypted private prayer requests to assigned priests
- Confession appointments — Book with clergy; reminder plans
- Bilingual — English and Arabic (App Settings → Language)
- Account & notifications — Email/password, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In (iOS), notification preferences

Ark Studio worked with Virgin Mary & St. John Church over years of planning, design, and development, not a rushed template app. From the beginning, the goal was a custom church experience, not a generic church app pulled off a shelf.
That commitment shows in the engineering. Prayer requests are protected with end-to-end encryption, visible only to assigned clergy. Priests have dedicated tools — a prayer inbox secured with PIN or Face ID, and confession scheduling dashboards that keep pastoral care organized. Church leaders use role-based admin for announcements, events, and future projects, while push notifications and deep linking keep the community informed in real time.
The app supports English and Arabic throughout, with secure authentication powered by Supabase and thoughtful UX designed for a multigenerational congregation — from families with young children to long-time members who prefer simplicity on a small screen.
